Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
According to These Rules, we are only allowed to post questions about Flash or Flasm. (Even though the title of this section shows that it is for any pre-hack)
Quote:
This area is for asking questions to do with Flasm or Flash.
Does this exclude hacking a Flash game using Cheat engine? If so, please move this topic.
I've been trying to hack Scratch the Bounty Hunter which i found on This thread
At first i used the Hack with the Flasm technique found Here, the text file (after converting from swf) didn't show much, you can get a copy (which i uploaded)Here. When i tried to convert the swf without flasm, it was encrypted. (I just changed the extension from swf to txt)
Then i tried using Cheat Engine. Well, i got the address for the money, found 4 pointers for it, but when i restarted the game, the pointers were rendered worthless (They didn't 'point' to the money's address)
Any one know what the problem may be?
Re: Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
I've never used CE but I can tell you that the game is AS3.

I'm not familiar with this term. Um, does that mean it needs a different procedure for Hacking with Flasm than the one i used? Or is it something unrelated to this.
Re: Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
flasm can't decompile as3 games. it wasn't encrypted. if you decompile an as3 game using flasm almost every single line in the txt says something like ''unknown tag length 44'' or something similar. to hack as3 games you need sothink swf decompiler, hex workshop, and a few other things.
just look at the tutorial here
Re: Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
True, the game wasn't encrypted. You can't convert it just by changing the name from .swf to .txt.

Thanks, i will try this now.
EDIT: I tried to do it, and like many other people who posted on that thread, the RJTDSM gives me a blank white box.

Because it's broken. RJT is not here anymore so we can't fix it.
Any suggestions?
Re: Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
You COULD try and ask someone that has it to give it to you and teach you how to use it, but i dont think it will be that easy.

How do the other hackers do it? Do they have a fixed version? Do you have one? I don't really need people to teach me, i know they might be busy and all. Though i would like to try hacking AS3 games and i can't do it without a similar program. :bored:
Re: Scratch the Bounty Hunter (Game)
You need to ask someone that can hack AS3

That's the one i found, it's not free. (there is a trail version for 30 days, not good enough)
