Dedicated Server

You may have noticed a bit of down time over the last few days, this is due to me migrating the sites over to a Dedicated Server. This should improve the load time of the sites and iron out some bugs which where in the old system, because of security issues on the old host. The transfer went quite smoothly considering the size of the sites. I have sorted out most problems, but if you notice anything else wrong post it in this topic.

Intel® Pentium 4™
2.8ghz
2 GB Ram
120 GB Hard Drive

Where at, and is there any like really small server that are good and free?

I don't need to now, becuase I asked my sister and she told me of a FREE Server and she wasn't all rude about it.

Mag, relax man. Jeeze. Your yelling at everyone, you asked how to get a server and he told you you had to buy one, he was trying to be nice about it. Christ. Anyway, that's cool, glad we got some new stuff, haven't really noticed shorter load times, but then again, they haven't been any slower and I haven't noticed any major errors in the site so far.

But the thing is I knew I had to buy one, sorry if I was being rude, but what I mean't is like where would I get one.

I dont really know... I'd try somewhere like Circuit City first, then move on to like, Best Buy and stuff. But probably a good idea to just order it off the internet, my personal favorites are from Cisco Networking Technologies. Nice place. Fairly decent prices.

I don't know were to get a server but I know were you can get a webhosting sever.

I hired the server from a hosting company and they look after it for me. One thing I forgot to included in the spec, the bandwidth speed is 100mb. Killer we dont need a lot of hard disk space at the moment, I think we are currently use 2gb and it can be upgraded if needed.

oh ok i was just saying cause were hacking games aily and with the ammount of members created evryday its just crazy to only have 2 gigs

Well it will probably take a year or 2 to use it all.

I dont never have the money to buy servers and stuff, cuz i buy to many games lol, oh and my grandpa wont let me.(shocking huh? i live with my grandparents)

I got enough money to buy like 500 of them. Sorry for being mean. My roommates are fighting.

Nope 2gb is correct (might be even less than that) If you think about it, its right. Each flash game is 2 to 3 MB and there is over 300 hundred on arcadeprehacks.com = Under 1gb ,plus the forums with has games on it and there is arcadetrainer which is very small. The database for the forum is only 20mb. The bandwidth which could be a problem. My host have allowed me 1.5gb a month

I'm big in computers. REASON: Homework has to be done in Word.

Word is basic, I would consider that big. If you start making websites, games, programs, hacking games, know every bit of computer language, etc. Then you'll be big in computers.
