[Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
Since a lot of people requested it, I decided to make a tutorial for Photoshop.
In this tutorial we'll be making a text fade in.
Requirements:
Photoshop CS5 (other versions will probably work, too)
Common knowledge
Photoshop CS5 will be used in this tutorial
Step 1: Preparing
The first thing we gotta do is preparing the animation in Photoshop. This can be done in ImageReady as well, but Photoshop has more tools.
So, make a new project and call it whatever you like. The dimensions are not important.
I called it "Tutorial text".

Remember, these are my settings. You can use whatever you like.
Next thing we do is making a text. Click the "Text" button in the tools menu (left side of the screen) and type your text.
Now, go to the "Window" menu and tick "Animation".

You will be able to see a bar on the bottom of your screen. This bar contains all frames.
Step 2: Making the animation
Select the "Text" layer. Take a look at the Animation bar. You will see your Background + your text there.

Go to your layer again. Make the opacity 0%. If done right, the text will disappear in the Animation bar.
Click the "Duplicate frame" button.

Go to your "Text" and make the opacity 5%.
Click the "Duplicate frame" button again and make the opacity 10%. Keep doing this until you reached the opacity of 100%. Go to your first frame and change the ... sec (this is different for everyone) to 1 sec. This means your first frame will show for 1 second. Go to the second frame and change the ... sec to 0.1 sec. This means the second frame will show up for 0.1 second. Do this until you did that at every frame.
Again, I like to show the frames for 0.1 second. If you want to show it for 0.2 second, go ahead.

Also be sure to set the loop to "Forever".
To test if you did this all right, click the "Play" icon, next to the "Duplicate frame" button.
If you did, it should start playing the animation. It might take some time to load the animation, so have patience.
Step 3: Saving
The last thing we have to do is saving the animation. You can't just click "Save as..." and save it as a .gif file. That will just make it show the first frame.
Open the "File" menu and click "Save for Web & Devices". This will open a new screen.

Do not change anything here and click "Save".
Congratulations, you just finished your first animation!
If you have any questions regarding to this tutorial, post them here, but do not flood this topic with spam.

Re: [Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
yes it works :P
But when i edit a frame all the other frames change too xD
Re: [Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
What exactly do you change?
Re: [Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
The color of the background behind the text
Re: [Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
Backgrounds should be added to the Background layer.
Also, you can use the little eye next to a layer to make it visible/invisible.
Re: [Tutorial] Make an animation using Photoshop
or you could use lunapic for the text effect
