I got a suggestion.
How about a forum based chat box like other forums have.

Fine. I'll ask him. It seems like a GREAT idea to me. It would be much more convenient than PMs. I can't imagine why you wouldn't want one!

You can't just leave it alone that he doesn't want one?
Don't pester him about it. Don't even PM him. He has more important things to attend to than adding something he doesn't want or reading these posts
