Britain and North America
This topic was created to discuss the differences between England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland & Ireland and the USA & Canada. Differences in language e.g. Candy Floss (GB) and Cotton Candy (US), Pavement (GB) and Side walk (US), Aubergine (GB) and Eggplant (US) & Courgette (GB) and Zucchini (US) and differences in culture e.g. British eat with a knife in right hand and fork in left, but Americans only eat with a fork in the right (that's what I'm told, and I always do it anyway lol) and American football is different from ours.

Somewhat wrong, We americans (and I bet almost everyone else) eat depending on if we are left handed or right handed. Like I'm right handed, So i normally eat with my fork, spoon, knife, etc with my right hand.

Are you referring to accents?
I think half of Americans just assume they are the only culture without an accent. And then they do horrible imitations of British accents.
Re: Britain and North America
No.
Ghetto speak is a deformed version of american english.
