global moderator and moderator

i have a question. i don't know if its stupid but can i get my answer before its locked? thanks.

why you guys call it global moderator and not a moderator?

Because the Moderator rank was taken by Forum Helper.

Forum Helpers are the Mods but we don't have as much power as the Global Mods (Banning, Deleting Posts).

Aub was the first one to get promoted.

why don't you all just standardized it and call it moderators and both global moderator and forum helper become moderators?

It is mainly because Forum Helpers aren't supposed to hack games like Global Moderators. They are supposed to help people on the forum and try to keep it clean. That was the initial idea when Aub got promoted as he never hacked but was always helping people. After all they have less powers then the Global Moderators and that is what makes them different.

It is like a ladder that you can climb up, you get more powers on your way. Too many people with too much power could also cause problems.

The site owner can do pretty much whatever he wants.
Administrators can do almost everything, but not major things, like changing a theme, installing mod packs, and other things.
Global Moderator have all of the moderator powers, and from what i heard, also have some sort of power in the ACP(Admin Control Panel).
Forum Helpers cannot ban, delete topics and merge topics.

Moderators used to have even less power back in Greeny's time.
They could only lock topic in certian sections and they couldnt warn.
Also their rank was a slightly darker blue.
