Ok, a few days ago, i got a new laptop, and it has a built in camera, we, it says i need to turn it on, but i have no idea on how to, i have tried the fn key with f1-11, and it did not work, my computer is a compaq presario CQ56, and yes magicman, i have tried google
try searching for device manager and open Open Device Manager > Imaging Devices. Try to find your camera.
says the device is working properly
idk, my dad got a hp laptop says it has a camera, and has a little camera but has the same prob... i really dont know what it is, oh and try going around ur programs and seeing if there is anything that starts with camera, or eye or something...

The camera only turns on when activated with an app that requires the camera.
any other buttons on ur keyboard?
Believe me, the camera only activates when required to by another app (ex: Photobooth)

it was in something called microsoft silverlight for me.
if that doesn't work then just search around in your programs. something has to show up.
