Hacking Real Games

OK, so I love Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition. I have beaten the game a preposterous amount of times (Which for self-respect I will not share), and somehow found a hack for it. It is a Wii save file (I have my own) that has somehow been hacked! The save is a simple binary file, but I found out that it is encrypted by the Wii (By my good friend Google). But unfortunately, I cannot find anymore on hacking .bin files or decrypting them. So I am asking for someone who knows how to manipulate .bin files. Anyone who can even give me a BASIC understanding of how they work would be greatly appreciated. The hack in the save file is that all guns have 65,000 ammo in their mags, same with grenades and health items. For anyone who is a RE4 lover, I can link the file. I would desperately like to know how to mess with these save files. (BTW, I opened the file in Notepad, it comes up in some Asian language, I am not sure which.

But I don't say a savegame file is a hacked one.

Back on topic, LOLface, what do you know about homebrew? I have looked into it a lot, but still am not sure if I wanna install it for fear of bricking my Wii.

Yeah... bricking a Wii is a lot easier than you think =p, lucky for me I have cousins who un-bricked a Wii twice o.O

I don't know that much about how they did it, I dropped it off and picked up a week later

everything, some methods of homebrewing the wii do not work with certain versions

Not true. It is widely believed that it cannot be done with V4.2. That is false. You just have to take a few more steps.

4.3 cannot be done the same as 4.2. 4.2 is mainly done with bannerbomb, the new 4.3 update patched the whole banner bomb used. So there are new methods, like smash stack and indiana pwns

FYI I bricked my Wii before so I know what I'm talking about.
And i bet I have more experience with homebrew than you.

If your Wii bricks, just use the NAND backup you should've made before bricking it.
I have experience with a Wii as well :)

I don't have any of those games. No Smash Stack, Yu-Gi-Owned, or Indiana Pwns tricks here.

only other way would be a mod chip but they cost much. o.0

I don't see how some games can work around the Wii's security. But if so, shame on you Nintendo, why did you keep the DVD feature from us?

The games do not work around the secruity, they program the games load work around it

Ugh... I think I'll just stick to PowerSaves. And yeah, that tool that converts them, amazing :D

You are thinking too far ahead there son, someone simply used a cheat with Gecko OS and then saved the file and uploaded it. Theres nothing more too it and I dont think the wii uses any kind of save file encryption but I only have 1 wii and I barley touch it besides hacking it the first day I got it from a friend. I never payed for anything related to the wii.

Theres nothing more too it and I dont think the wii uses any kind of save file encryption but I only have 1 wii and I barley touch it besides hacking it the first day I got it from a friend. Well then the WII encrypted the save itself on its on terms in the game, Gecko OS is basically a ISO loader but it allows you to write code on the game's boot, so basically you can have it load hacks into the games code. So the cheats were basically written into the game with Gecko OS, then someone saved the file and uploaded it. There was no cross examination HEX value switch anything like that.

No you can soft mod if you want

But you can put it in danger of a brick.
If done it before downgraded my firmware.
