I registered here just to say that your chatbox sucks, and that you really need to start managing it.
Every time i check in, theres always some 5 year old swearing like theres no tomorrow, and theres nothing anyone can do to stop it.
I personally have never seen any moderators on the chat and that is a bit sad.
It's because we don't have any moderators on ArcadePreHacks. We only have admins.Quote:

APH is kind of self-moderated, due to the code on the page. The admins on APH have very little time to deal with the amount of spam the game's comments get, let alone the spam in the chat box.

Xat does have a moderator system. The admins dont personally have to manage the chat.
I don't think any one of us would like to manage more than 200 users at once spamming in front of us.

It's the dark side of APH, thats really it. These topics have come up before, and no one has ever gotten a spot (atleast I don't think anyone has), and most members here on ATF do not even go in there as it is just a spam hole full of people who swear way to much and have names that are way too long and full of smileys. It wouldnt be all that hard to make a non-forum-staff moderator team. All you need to do is get a few people that look responsible, make them mods, and just pop in from time to time and act strict to keep them on their toes. Its how we used to manage our chat back when my site was still up, and it worked fine, till the owner decided that mods had to be elected by the users.
Fine if your so pissed off i'll go mod it then..
But the shout box is barely active.
But it's hard to find trustful people.
There have been 2 drastic events of our mods backstabbing us.
