We put names in a hat.
You serious? Dead serious? What if you pick someone that you know won't do a good job?

With all due respect I am calm. I'm just appalled that they would try to use a method like that.
It's a much more complex method that you all hate very much and it's nothing close to picking out of a hat, lol.
After we choose five people, we make them draw straws.The 2 that have the shortest move to the next round. They play rock-paper-scissor.

In all seriousness, the method of choosing who is eligible for a moderator and who is blacklisted is a very serious and very accurate method.
so who's names gets put in the ''hat'' just admin or mods or can ''newbies'' (like me) get put in the hat?
No hats are involved during the choosing.
People get chosen if they think they will do the job right
i ment like in the drawing or other selection method is my name or other newbies in the selection method.
We do not select anybody.
