it was a little ehhhh, i didn't like it much.
i didnt at first but then i got into it.and i guess u dont watch much tv if u havent heard of it.
Give me the main plot and story

It's here that a young Waterbender named Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange boy named Aang from a cavernous iceberg. Not only is Aang an Airbender--a race of people no one has seen in a century--but they soon discover that Aang is also the long lost Avatar. Now it's up to Katara and Sokka to make sure Aang faces his destiny to save the tribe--and himself. Did we mention he's only 12?
In a lost age, the world is divided into four nations: Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. Within each nation, there is a remarkable order of men and women called the "Benders" who can learn to harness their inborn talent and manipulate their native element. Bending is a powerful form combining martial art and elemental magic.
In each generation, only one Bender is solely capable of controlling all four elements. That Bender is the Avatar. The Avatar is the spirit of the world manifests in human form. When the Avatar dies, it reincarnates into the next nation in the cycle. Starting with the mastery of his or her native element, the Avatar learns to bend all four elements. Throughout the ages, the countless incarnations of the Avatar have served to keep the four nations in harmony.
Then, the Firebenders attacked. Just as the world needed the Avatar the most, he mysteriously vanished. A hundred years later, the Fire Nation is near final victory in its ruthless war of world domination. The Air Nomads were destroyed, the Air Temples ravished, and all Airbender monks eradicated. The Water Tribes were raided and driven to the brink of extinction. The Earth Kingdom remains and fights a hopeless war against the Fire Nation. Many believe the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads and the cycle is broken.

oh and idk about the movie.i mean i believe they are making one but it might kinda suck
That story is a so-so i guess it sounds boring though
the first ones were kinda boring but towards the end they are really good
isn't all shows like that these days
go to youtube and search avatar the last airbender movie trailer
i saw the preview on tv. i wish they would have kept it animated and im sure they will leave out a lot of the main characters

avatar the last whatever reminds me of mortal kombat. i bet the movie is going to look like the mk movies

mk is awesome! the avatar is cheesy, and besides, the avatar only has 2 good looking characters! (the water girl and the fire one) while mk has like 10
Have you even seen the MK movies there way overrated (This is my opinion, so don't get all fanboy on me)
so ur saying that mk is better because there are more hot girls. well i dont think nickelodeon is gonna have tons of hot girls on their shows. :crazy:

Avatar: The Last Airbender...not cool...
#1. It introduces the people to non violent humor, they are just throwing air and water and fire at each other, there should be guns, fists, and cars

Nickolodeon doesn't have violence...does it?
It has mild violence, enough to keep them a G rating, or a Y7 rating. There's hardly ever any show that breaks TV-Y7.
Edit: Actually, come to think of it, I don't think any show on Nickelodeon has broke TV-Y7.

Yeah, there's plenty of TV-MA cartoons though. family guy, south park, american dad, robot chicken, and lots more.
Like adult swim has most of those, and it is cartoon network at night...like nickolodeon at night...except AdultSwim is better
