Oil. Any type of resource that is in short supply. Nuclear bomb threats from other countries. Look at the Cold War for that.The Cold War had nothing to do with religion, but with government. Look at Hitler. He persuaded the Germans into war because they were starving in the streets and had no where to live because of World War I. He looked like a good man to pull them out of it.

Because it isn't in desperate supply, albeit it is high priced, once it gets down to where there is extremely low amounts in the years to come, there will be war.
