is it illegal

my cat is going into heat and we don't have the money to get her fixed, cats keep tryin to come in my house to get at her, so is it legal in the USA to shoot the stray cat with a air soft bb gun?

i think it is a neighbors cat more then a stray so i can't take it anywhere

Then ask the neighbor if it is theirs, if it is tell them your problem and ask them to keep it inside.

I mean, the whole thing with "airsoft" is maybe or maybe not illegal, but it still is inhumane and you should not do it. Plus if it is theirs they could always file a lawsuit against you for abusing their animal.

I think you should put a bowl of food outside and when the cat comes to eat it, run as fast as you can and kick the cat and watch her fly
