EDIT:The tension of the earths tectonic plates build up. Which causes more devastating earthquakes. They constantly push and pull at each other. If you look at a map of plate tectonics you will see what I mean.Quote:

Yes it will definitely be the end of the world in 5,000,000,000 years or less. But i think it might happen in about 10,000 to 100,000 years or sumthing (unless they have the technology to prevent the following). Cos theres every chance that one of Saturn or Jupiters ring rocks will lose contol and fly around the Solar System on a rampage maybe hitting Earth. And i do know that it will be the end of Mars pretty soon. Phobos is constantly getting closer and closer to Mars and soon it will crash and chunks of Mars may fly into the Earth. Or, Halleys Comet might lose control and fly into Earth you never know. Plus theres always a chance some asteroid comes out of nowhere and flies through the Solar System and maybe hit Earth. And you never know, one day we might be visited... by ALIENS! We do not have any proof that they don't exist do we? Well just think. There we are in space. Out of about 8 planets circling the Sun, we are the only planets to support known life. Now think how many stars are there in the galaxy? About 1,000,000,000,000. And each have about on average 10 planets orbiting them. So 1,000,000,000,000 x 10 = 10,000,000,000,000. Then you have all the other galaxies to worry about. About 1,000,000,000 other galaxies in the Universe (or maybe more i don't know) and each of them have about 1,000,000,000,000 stars each with about 10 planets. So 1,000,000,000,000 x 10 x 1,000,000,000 = 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. So there is not much chance that out of the 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 other planets who may support alien life, we are the only ones eh? *applause* Thank You, Thank You (lol).
