I doubt man is stupid enough to blow us all up... well I hope we aren't stupid enough.
I say no to rapture mainly because I do not believe in god, but anything is possible.
Global Warming. I am more concerned about Global Cooling. When the ice caps melt, that will cause gigantic chunks of ice to fall off into the ocean, causing mass temperature drops, which will be the next ice age. During that time the ozone layer will have time to heal :D...
I doubt Obama will cause this... he barely has the sense to keep health care where it needs to be.
Mass Extermination??? By aliens. Possibly. Humans. Bigger chance than aliens, but very small chance. Just random deaths all over the world? I wish I could live to see that, but chances are like 0.000 continuing.

But if that does not happen... when the o-zone layer gets thin enough, it is said that the earth's gravitational pull will get stronger. While the earth and moon rotate, the moon will be pulled in towards earth. Results are unknown though. It is also a theory that it will pull itself closer towards the sun, which will definitely cause Global Warming.

Who would mass-exterminate? Al-Qaeda? No, they aren't powerful enough, America has managed to keep them down.

Obama? Not the world, no. America? Maybe, it depends how the 2010 Congressional Elections go. The Health Care thing doesn't officially go into law until 1-1-011.

Nukes? Ya'know, there's a thing called nuclear disarmament...Modern Marvels had an episode on it.

Rapture? If you mean Bioshock, no.

Global Warming? If it ACTUALLY isn't a hoax, which it 99.9999% is, then it is too slow for us to not be able to do something about it. Gore just wants more money, along with all of his crap followers.

I never thought about it being a hoax... I guess it could be a hoax for cash. A couple months ago scientists were saying cows give off those gasses that harm the o-zone layer. Now they are thinking about taxing the farmers... I think they already have. Probably just a money hoax for scientists!

Well, if we do get government health care... how much will we be paying.

I think an all out war with China will cause America's extinction. We are over trillions of dollars in debt to them. Who knows when they will crack.

A. That is just a myth...do we really know what Iranians are doing? Of course not. Don't base judgment on myths.
B. Um, as far as I know, Rapture applies to sinners in this case...and that is not the cause of the end, it occurs IN the end, when God is selecting the people who have not sinned against Him.
C. It might happen, Earth goes through these things every few million years or so. But I agree with you, on the level of "in our lifetime" or "the course of the entire human race"
D/E: That was used mostly in ancient times. Ones like Sparta, who were really selective when choosing warriors. But China is not that desperate for population control, and as far as I know Iraq has done nothing of the sort either.
