SHRINE TESTS

There’s only really one reason to go through all four shrine tests, and it’s NOT for the money. Of the four shrines, successfully completing only three of them will yield a single bag worth 100 gold. The last one yields nothing.

No, the only reason anyone would put themselves through these tests is to unlock the Avatar.

In order to activate the Shrine Tests, you must beat the False God, and take the trophy. With trophy in hand, the shrines will no longer offer a place to increase your stats, but instead the tests that will be detailed individually below. Don’t worry, you can turn the trophy off if you want to increase your stats, and then turn it back on to take on another test or two.

With all four shrines successfully completed, you can now visit the Avatar by making sure that the trophy is activated (I think you have to turn it off and then back on, but I’m not sure).

This is the final section of this walkthrough.

(SHN1) The Strength Shrine. At first you enter a seemingly empty room, but soon enough you will see a giant wall with a weird flashing eye thingy in the center coming to crush you.

You’re goal is to kill this thing.

The big thing to do here, though, is you must deactivate all of your magic when facing this wall. Magical attacks heal it. With your magic turned off, don’t even bother waiting for the thing to enter the screen, just keep swinging away until it’s dead.

(SHN2) Endurance Shrine-Oh look! A Fairy! This fairy isn’t as nice as the one that hangs out in your house, though, as it keeps shooting a barrage of missiles at you.

Your goal? Do nothing. You should be able to survive the assault, and if you can’t you need to put more money in your endurance and armor. She will shoot at you for a few minutes, and then just disappear, leaving a 100 gold bag in her wake. Get the bag, and never come back here again.

(SHN3) Knowledge Shrine-Here you’re greeted with a bunch of slimes. Killing them reveals that they are “multiple slimes”. Killing them also reveals that killing them makes them multiply.

This test is easy. Upon entering the Shrine of Knowledge, do not swing your sword. Instead, just walkaround on all of them until they are dead. You will not get 100 gold from this test. Just move on.

UPDATE: After corresponding with Babara, I have been informed of the true requirement to pass this test. For many people, you will stumble upon this by accident, but for some you may end up thinking your way right out of not adequately beating this challenge.

Per Babara, you must kill at least 10 slimes by stepping on them. The catch is that when you first enter the challenge, only eight are actually present. This means you have to actually kill a couple of slimes with your sword first, and then start walking on them. If you are having difficulties getting to the Avatar even after beating all of the shrines, this is most likely what is holding you back.

(SHN4) Shrine of Fate-Of the four shrines, this one can be the most frustrating. You are presented with a room full of money bags. One of those money bags contains 100 gold, the rest contain explosives.

The trick to this is remembering that real gold comes to you, while fake bags stay still no matter how close you get. As a result, carefully navigate your way through the maze of bags until you here the familiar “chink” of you collecting a bag of gold, and then carefully navigate your way out of this room.

Thankfully, the hit detection is pretty forgiving here, and you can navigate your guy through some surprisingly narrow gaps.
after this equip the trophy the go off the map go to moon then face the very powerfull avatar

i finally beat the avatar on my original non-hacked version. and as i was collecting my winnings i walked out of the map. ****. i spent 15 min. clicking to kill him then i walked out with like barely anything. this sucks.

Okay, we’re going to do something new so I can see your game and do it from my end.

First, you’re going to do a windows search for “ginormo” When you do this, make sure you do an advanced search, make sure you search for all files and folders, and make sure it searches in HIDDEN folders as well.

This is important, if you don’t do a hidden file search you’ll run a search over and over again and never find it.

You should eventually get a ginormo folder that pops up. When you double click on it, it’ll open up and you should have a file that will end in .sol

What I need you to do is try to email me a copy of that file. If you have winrar or winzip, I’ve understand you should try and zip it first.

In anycase, you’re going to want to copy that file somewhere else, in a new folder, to your desktop, just don’t remove it from its location.
