Swapping out versions of flash files

Lets say you could edit a swf file to a more favorable version of the file (for yourself). How would you go about using that file whenever the web browser called up that swf. My understanding is that the browser will call up the version stored in the cache as opposed to d/l the new one. I am trying to replace the version in the cache with the one I built. This is for a MMO.

A browser is smart, it checks the size, and a hacked version has another size, so it downloads the 'old' one.
