    VB6 trainers-make them better

    Before I've thought of making a trainer tutorial but since smelly and axzus took away all you guys attention I will make a tutorial they didnt make.
    Menu Editor.
    Step1.Youve learnt to make a trainer but hate those big buttons? Click the icon like a menu thingy called "menu editor".
    Step2.Now type the information needed in the caption and name but don't type anything in the index.
    Step3.If you want your trainer to click the "hacks" button and something will come under it but this time when you insert a new one press the button like this"-->" and if you want your "under button to still have something to come over it, press the "-->" again.
    Menu Editor Tutorial:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ileiQ1VcKJQ&fmt=18
    Main Menu.
    Step1. make a form1(or make up a name) with two buttons or three so you will have two or three trainers when you click it. Heres the code for poping up trainer after you click the button
    Code:
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    form2.Show
    End Sub
    or this code if you want the main menu to close and open the trainer:
    Code:
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    form2.Show
    form1.Hide
    End Sub
    Tutorial of main menu:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8uFXzlJv7o&fmt=18
    If you want to make a combo box and you need some help making up the boxes inside, here is the code:
    Code:
    Private Sub Form_Load ( )
    Combo1.AddItem “Item1”
    Combo1.AddItem “Item2”
    Combo1.AddItem “Item3”
    Combo1.AddItem “Item4”
    End Sub
    Note: I normally uses the combo box instead of a main menu cause the trainer looks better. Here is a code:
    Code:
    Private Sub Item1_Change()
    Call ShockwaveFlash.movie="yourgame.swf"
    If you want your trainer private then make up the passwords!!
    Here is the submit button(I made the code up but works)code(Note:command2 is invisible at first)

    Code:
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    If text1.text="your password" Then
    command2.visible=true
    label1.caption="correct password"
    Else
    command2.visible=false
    label1.caption="incorrect password"
    End If
    End Sub
    Meaning of this code:
    If the text in text1is "your password" then button2 will appear and the caption in label1 will become "correct password".
    If the text in text1 is not "your password" then button2 will not appear and the caption in label1 will become "incorrect password".
    Easy as it sounds, right?
    For command2 simply pop up the trainer I told you before.

    If, Else, End If
    if is very important and helpful to learn to make your future trainers more successful. I will add more tutorials later but I need time to figure out how to make complex things more easier to understand.

    Good Job!
    There's Just a couple of problems I have seen.

    Wrong,

    It should be
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    Me.Hide
    Form2.Show
    End Sub
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    label1.caption="incorrect password"
    End If
    End Sub
    You're gonna cause a Error entering the code like that, You need to have spaces between the = signs, and the wording needs to be Capitalized..
    So it should look like this.

    Code:
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    If Text1.Text = "your password" Then
    Command2.Visible = True
    Label1.Caption = "correct password"
    Else
    Command2.Visible = false
    Label1.Caption = "incorrect password"
    End If
    End Sub
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Other than that you did a Goood Job!!

    Re: VB6 trainers-make them better

    no it doesnt need to be...the vb will help you capitalize it itself...at least my version does.
    And for the me.hide my frds will be confused cause sometimes it will hide the whole project if you put it in the back...and mine also works so i made form1.hide more clearer than me.hide cause you could switch places but for me.hide you must put it at first.
    I dont want to mess up ppl who are new to this...thats why im doing this easier to do and more little errors...

    Edit:If i want to change the tutorial better, i could remove the text1.text and replace it with a InputBox and that would be harder and i could do a "dim password as string"but i didn't do it because if it was me from last year i would be even quite confused to even this tutorial...

    Why would you use 'Dim password as String'

    Using that is just asking to be confused..
