spad3r,, if its a fire spell, yes you can use it.

And I unleash it upon the rubble.

ok then. it clears most of the rubble, you just have to push a few off him and get him back.

I start to push the rocks away.

you can start to see him, then half, then all of him. he is still out cold though. you have to carry him or dragg him.

I take Danny by the shoulders and carry him away from the rubble.
I start to walk to the nearest town.
