I got a suggestion here:
Why not decreasing the post count needed for the ranks? Who is ever gonna get 5000 or 7500 posts (except Martin of course)?
Also, lot of ppl get promoted after being the fifth rank, so what's the point of the others? Active ppl such as DarknessAngel should have gotten rank 10 already.

Why don't you just not care about a rank that's under your name? People will know if you're contributing and a good forum member, they don't need a rank to see that. If people want to leave because their rank is too low (due to too less contributing; spamming/trolling/etc.), let them go. They're not worth it if their rank is all they care about.
