It is a cartoon. It's animation. How can you get attached to something so ficitional? I mean seriously, their lives are completely scripted and no where near realistic. Go tell the cartoonist you cried and maybe they'll bring her back to life, if the cartoon means that much to you.

It. Is. Not. A. Cartoon. God, dang it. It's a freakin anime.

Every other person who watched Shirley pass away cried too. The point was to make people cry and she most certainly achieved that goal.

And as for the fiction part? I've always been attached to fiction. I'm the God of the Imaginary World, you know.

I've never watched Titanic, though Hymn To The Sea is a very sad song for an occasion such as when Shirley dies.
