OR you could get Halo 3 because Halo 3 and Reach have different controls, and Halo 3 let's you configure what set of controls you want, Reach has only Bumper Jumper. Play with it and if you don't like Bumper Jumper don't get Reach.

OR he could get Reach, get used to Bumper Jumper, THEN get 3 and play with Bumper Jumper.
