Chinese is weird. 5 languages that equal the same language. In America there is only 1 American English.

Dude, English in general is stolen from craploads of other languages, and American English is so far perverted from "True English" that its basically a joke to the international community. American English is the hardest language to learn. Trust me.

Why would I like to get out of my country. American English is one of the easiest. Chinese is the hardest. So if you can't get your facts right then just shut up.

Dude, I'm originally from Russia, just north of Moscow. Russian is my primary language. American English is possibly the hardest language to learn. And its not a fact, its a general opinion. Just ask any foreigner and they will tell you that it is outrageously hard to learn.Originally Posted by vgking7

english is so much easier with a alphabet with only 26 letters...there is no alphabet in Chinese
Sure, I mean, the alphabet is simple, your right, theres only 26 letters... but conjugation of phrases? The juxtaposition of some of the things that we say here is obscene... The correct placement of vowels, nouns and all that stuff... It drove ME crazy. Then you have different dialects for every area. Just here in Maryland, there are over 20 different areas that all have their own slang... its crazy. Then down south, they can speak Cajun, french + english = NO.Originally Posted by mathewthe2
So yeah, just... its crazy how many different ways of saying things there are in this country. It just makes it harder than heck to learn.

you just say english = hard and english = super hard... you didnt even compare it to Chinese.
I would say that Chinese is extremely hard to learn, if only for the fact that their character representation for their words is very complicated. One stroke, on missed mote here or there, and you have erased the point of the entire character. To speak, though, is not as hard as you may think. Well, within reason. When the Chinese speak Chinese, its very fast-paced and hard to listen to. But that's with any language, really.
