is this any better? i used a solid airbrush circle instead of the fuzzy one, and it looks like it made the pixels around the sides a little less noticeable.

Yup. Looks awesome.Though doesn't the moon cover the whole sun when there's a eclipse

Thats a total eclipse.
What m did is a partial eclipse.

Also try adding a glow around the moon.

i added glowing edges in photoshop and it did this

On a scale on 1-10 I give it 7 and a half. I like the one that you sharpened up. The one with glow is meh..its alright.
