I agree with this, except:
It's not like it's something extremely dishonorable to fight with you're sibling, even if you're older than them. If you're staying in the same house with someone for many years, there's eventually gonna be some quarrels.

By saying he "has a gang" that means he is the owner of it.
By saying he's "in a gang", he is a member.
