star wars knights of the old republic 2 not working

i edited this a bit the game says there is a eror after i make my acount but before i play i cant uptate it further
i tried to scaned my hardwere every thing was green exept video and that was yelow
i dont have vista(i might but i dont know what that is)
i cant find a place that can help when i try to update it it does this

Most likley it's not vista compactiable, has it ever worked before on vista?

Is the game in a folder in your pc?

It's trying to patch the game, but it can't find the file.

I suggest downloading the manual patch, that would probably fix it.

i ried to manualy doing it and it said i couldnt find the file.is it because i have a laptop?

That shouldn't matter.

Does it say it can't find the patch after you downloaded the manual patch, or when you were trying to download the manual patch itself?

as i downloaded the uptaded version at the end it said "the old file does not exist"
any help hapened twice now

Since this game is so old, it might not be Vista Compatible (Like Addison said)

But, we'll assume that it is.

It's saying that it can't find the previous version of the patch, or the game?

If it's the game, then I have no clue.

If it's the patch, you'll have to find an older version of it. Once you've installed that, you could probably try the new one.
