The only MMO's I know are MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.

Just to clear it up a bit: an FPS is an MMO. MMO stands for Massive Multiplayer Online, so if there are a lot of players playing against eachother, it's an MMO. An MMORPG is an online Role Playing Game.

Anyway, I prefer MMORPG, but I'm playing an FPS at the moment:

An MMORPG called "TOME" shall be created in 2020. It's like a future-related game where you can BE the player and create yer own character. Or at-least, I hope they'll be a game like that.

Like they do in .hack? Yeah, that sounds really cool. The technology could be used anywhere, like real human chess, where if you ae captured you die and respawn in another zone.
