If he will check this topic again, I would say to him that he would be more proud of him if he won't be taking drugs anymore and if he will apologize and show his regrets to his parents. Everybody's got their problems and sooner or later is going to realize the fact that he is more lucky than others and he's only watching the bad part of his life which is probably pretty small. I truly hope he's going to be ok.
