I use flasm and understand you can Crtl + F to find a specific number, symbol or letter but is there any better way of doing this? sometimes i find it annoying when i type something in such as money and get so many results i don't which one to edit.

Try all of them.
That's how I do it!
It might take you awhile but Its usually worth it!
It may be frustrating but you dont wanna change the wrong thing otherwise you'd break it..i did that once with a game i was working on.
After all if you have enough free time to sign up on here you have enough time to sit with a bottle of water and a bag of chips and spend 4 hours looking through boring coding of a game.
there is no real way to trim all the usless vars.
try to find out how much money you start with, or if its called in a specific name(cash, coins, gold, currency, ect...), and get as close as you can to the variable.
there will be a minimal amount of variable you will have to sort through, since it will be repeated many times in the script.
How much money do you start with at the game.
If you start with $10 seach up 10
