with birds, you have to expect suddent death, theyre extremely fragile.
my budgie Johnny Stecchino(dont ask, was late at night, alot of beer, and some movie we had for italian class) had a crack in the window next to his cage.
got a cold and died.
the end, life well spent.

anyway, im sorry to hear about your loss.
