spiderkid12, they shuted down the network for unknown time, thats why your albums may be gone. They want to make a new security system, then they turn it on again.

I heard that they were still being attacked as of yesterday afternoon, I'll get another update tomorrow. But I am guessing and a few people at my school are guessing that the Maintenance thing is just to cover up that they just got Hacked and can't do anything about it.

Why hack Sony?
At school no one was talking about it, or maybe they were and I wasn't just paying attention.
The hacker(s) on this kind of caliber are dangerous.
Sony needs to fight fire with fire, but their fire has to be bigger and better.
I don't have a PS3, so saying that I don't know how big of a scale this thing is.

They hacked sony to steal a lot of data of customers, and its possible they got your payment informations. They sell phone numbers and emails to spammers to send you spam.

Hi guys, just to update on situation.
There has been advice for all people to change their PSN Login Details, as well as cancel your credit/debit cards if they are registered to your account or just ask your bank to block any direct debits. The hacker's have most certainly got your details, and may have credit card numbers as well. Be cautious and stay safe.

I would give her the advice that I gave in my previous post. Cancel her direct debit payments to Sony, or cancel her card.
