Staples = office supplies. Anyways.... If you want a good cheap gaming computer, make your own. My brother made his online for about $900, it ran great. Idk the specs of his comp. So, yeah. NEVER buy stock computers. Make your own. Unless your some office dude.

    Hey guys,
Got a permission from SandSpur to bump this thread.

I just ordered my parts, and this is what I'm getting inside a week:

    • Mobo - ASRock Z68 Pro3, Z68
    • CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K, (Quad-core) 3.30GHz
    • GPU - Powercolor Radeon HD 6950 1GB
    • RAM - Kingston ValueRAM DIMM 4GB PC3-10667U CL9 (DDR3-1333) x 2 (2x4 = 8GB)
    • PSU - XFX Core Edition PRO 550W
    • Case - BitFenix Merc Beta
    • DVD-Drive - LG GH24NS70 DVD-RW

    Total price: 674.80€ - $934

    In a nutshell: i5-2500k + Radeon HD 6950

    Well, in gaming, yeah.
But if you use your computer for other stuff, i7 wins.

Gaming is what I'm going to do most of my time. If I was to do heavy 3D rendering and compositing in HD, I would've got more RAM and an i7, if my budget would've allowed it.
