Hello all,

Just doing my yearly nostalgic post on the forum. I still can't get over the fact that such an active community changed so quickly. Talking about ATF/APH like this makes me feel so old 😂 — obviously, I won't dwell too much… I hope everyone (old and new) has a great new year!

Beginning of the end probably was when greeny gave away ownership of the board. The end was definitely the day we lost the arcadetrainer domain.

Which is sad… but, I suppose you've got to do what you've got to do… I do wish they'd stayed away from vB though. A lot of ex-users really preferred phpBB…

Hope you're all doing alright. APH is practically dead now, community wise. I'm sure that the hacking is still going strong, but that's it. Such a shame, i'm not a reactionary, but I do miss those good old days, ya know?

After Dave passed is when I felt things started slowing down.

But yeah, times have changed.

There is no APH community anymore. I remember coming here every day to hang out with people I met over the internet. I made some really good friends here.

And then the ATF/APH merge came... basically everyone left and the people that were left visited once a week or so. Now it's just random dudes requesting hacks and asking what everyone had for dinner yesterday.

I miss my old friends.
