i remember this sidescrolling RPG where you controlled a little furry kangaroo-esque thing whose colors were switchable. you fought monsters in areas, found books to learn spells, and could buy or find accessories. there was a little mushroom earring whose flavor text was "this tiny mushroom has an ear fetish."
i loved this game so much! can anyone find it?
