How to solve the Rubix Cube! Completed!
Well you have trouble solving the rubix cube? Want to impress your friends? Then try to solve the 3x3x3 rubix cube now since this is on a forum i will happy to answer any questions lets get started.
Let me tell you how to move your rubix cube
Each turn is 1/4 clockwise
So F is a clockwise turn on the Front face
B is for Back face Clockwise
Let me list them
Remember not to move the rubix cube or you will screw up
F=Front Face
B=Back Face
R=Right Face
L=Left Face
D=Down Face
U=Up Face
Now sometimes i might say UI or BI, Basically it means that you go the Counter Clockwise direction Clear?
Now then lets talk about the cube
The Pieces that are in the middle are called CENTER PIECES
The ones that are on the sides middle part are called EDGE PIECES
And the ones on the corners are CORNER PIECES
Now you know your rubix cube lets get started
1. The White(or any colour but i prefer white) Cross
Hold your cube so that the White CENTER PIECE is on the top
Now find a white EDGE PIECE if you've found one on the bottom then move it under the other colour's CENTER PIECE
Then do the sequence
R R
Or L L if the white piece is on the left
If the white piece is on the sides then dot he sequence
RI DI R
Then the piece will be on the bottom then carry on from there
2.Putting the corners!
Now you have a cross with all the pieces at the right place you need to fill in the corners
Now find a white piece that will fit between the colours in the right place now just move it under the designated spot and do the sequence
RI DI R D
As many times until it is on the top
If there is a piece thats in the wrong place then do
RI DI R to remove it from the top
3.The middle edges!
Now turn your cube upside down so the opposite colour is yellow
Now find a piece on the yellow center face that has the colour of the center piece you want it to go to Make sure there is no yellow piece at all on it
if it's gonna go to the right middle edge then do the sequence
U R UI RI UI FI U
If it's going to go to the left middle edge then do the sequence
UI LI U L U F UI
You might of found out by now that there are still squares to put but there are no other squares to put in with, so look in to the middle edges find a edge piece that is at the wrong place and has no yellow on it and depending what side it is do the sequences above.
4.The top layer!
Almost there this part will consist of 2 parts one to make the yellow cross and one to solve the whole top yellow layer
4.1 Your cube should have either the yellow center piece on top and nothing else OR
It will have 2 yellow edge pieces and the center make sure you turn the cube so it looks like a Backward L shape
Or it will have a straight line of yellow edges so it will be 2 edges and a center that is in a straight line
Or you have the cross already then go to 4.2
L BACKWARD SHAPE SEQUENCE
F U R UI RI FI
STRAIGHT LINE SEQUENCE
F R U RI UI FI
ONE CENTER PIECE IN THE MIDDLE
F U R UI RI FI Do this sequence and what ever shape it is do one of those sequences above
By now you might have a cross if not try again
4.2 Now to solve the yellow corners!
Now you cube will either have:
No yellow corners and a cross OR
One yellow corner and a cross OR
Two yellow corners and a cross
Now if you have no corners hold your cube so that the yellow face is on the top now check the left side are there any corners? Are there any corners that are facing the left but are near the front face? Well then do this sequence
R U RI U R U U
If you have one corner on the yellow face and a cross then make sure that corner is on the right bottom of the top face and do the sequence
R U RI U R U U
If you have two corner pieces then hold your cube so that one of the corners that aren't on the top are on the left op on the front face and do the sequence
R U RI U R U U
Sometimes you have to repeat the sequences
5. Putting the corners in the right place
Now you cube should either have 2 corners in the right place or no corners at the right place
If there are 2 corners in the right place then hold your cube so that the 2 corners that are solved are on the back and do the sequence
RI F RI B B R FI RI B B R R UI
Now if you have no corners in the right place then do the same sequence above so that the 2 corners in front will be solved then put those 2 corners on the back and it should be done!
6.Putting the edges in the right place
Alright last step!
Hold you cube so that the edges are on the top so that oyu can find them on your left right and maybe you back if you have 4 edges to be completed
So your cube will either have 1 edge in the right place and 3 other edges in the wrong place OR
All 4 edges are in the wrong place
If 1 edge in the right place and 3 other edges in the wrong place then look at the edges and see which way they should be going if the edges need to goto the right then do the sequence
F F UI L RI F F LI R UI F F
If going to the left then do the sequence:
F F U L RI F F LI R U F F
Then it should be solved but if your on the 4 edges part then you have to go a little longer
Use one of those sequences above
Then look at the edges use of the sequences above and then
CONGRATULATIONS IF YOU HAVE JUST SOLVED THE RUBIX CUBE
NOW IF YOU WERE STUCK PLEASE ASK ANY AND I MEAN ANY QUESTIONS TO SOLVE THE RUBIX CUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S I would love if this was stickied
