I'm using a different comp! And I can't open task manager because the comp has hasn't even reached the log in screen yet!

What's the last thing you've done?
Try to get into safe mode then scan for viruses.

Can't.
It never reaches the screen to choose safe mode.
How about Computer Idiot but program master?
1.One time I started my pc and it said insert boot device and my dad had to come fix it.
2. A lot of things don't work on my comp. but they work on other computers.
3. I have to operating systems on my new comp. Windows xp and windows 7.
Now when I try to log in to windows xp it just stays at the screen forever and it never finishes.
4.The problem above.
5. My anti-virus did a boot scan for viruses and it didn't finish until 6 hours later.
6.The computer lab teacher goes to me for help.
7.With enough time, I can figure out how to do stuff on any program.
8. Once my monitor stayed in standby mode and even with the comp. on it didn't show anything.
9. I used windows xp's temp. user for over a year and then I made a new account and it doesn't show the temp. account and I can't delete the only account on the comp. so I lost a lot of stuff.
