IE8 x64
It is more secure than firefox, and is better for coding. It will show errors that FF and Chrome will let slide.
No. IE8 isn't fully w3c compliant. FF and Chrome are. FF has firebug. Chrome has Developer Tools.

There have been many sites built with FF, that have div alignment issues/missing attributes, overlaps, and even bad RSS feeds- they work perfectly fine in FF because the browser corrects the <div> and poor coding. You take the same page and run it through an editor in design mode for "machine reads" and it is all messed up. You can also see it in a google cache.Originally Posted by router
IE 8 isnt lenient, and will display the site exactly as it is coded- messed up div tables and all.
Show me a website designed using FF, and Ill show you a "machine read" with div problems.
I never knew you could build sites with FF! Ever see a site with one of those W3C compliant buttons? Chances are they were tested with Firefox or Webkit.

here is an example:
Look at this cache in FF see anything wrong with it?
Then look in IE at the same cache image

I was never able to fix this issue in design machine read, without throwing the whole site out of whack.
This site looks the same for me on FF 3.6, IE 7 and Opera 10.10. Maybe i am missing something but the site seems to be fine in all of them.Originally Posted by rive0108

So you cant see this which is clearly visable in IE8 Google cache? Point Proved. FF is no good for testing design/coding of sites.

What about this page? see anything wrong with the "search bar" in FF?

It's not that they're more lenient, but more standards compliant. Your site has 196 errors validating with w3c. Sure, it looks fine, but there are XHTML errors. IE8 also scores 20/100 on the Acid3 test. Webkit = 100/100 Gecko/Firefox = 96/100
