Be patient, the website will be back, if the owners and admins make nightly backups like many websites. I can assure you that it will probably be back to normal, if it isn't the admins are probably implementing new security features.

A possibility, although unlikely, anything is possible. I just don't see that happening. I used to be a mod for a hack site, where we hacked .exe games, like warrock, and etc, hack attempts were very common there. Just be glad the hacker didn't replace the whole portal and replace it with a redirect to another website, with worse content.
