What program do you use?

For the background, I didn't use a brush, I put the render in a layer and used Gaussian Blur(on GIMP).

To blend in the render with the background:
Get a Fractal Render, put in a layer, maybe blur a little. Make a new layer, put in your render. Add a new layer put in smaller bits of your fractal render around the render.
