I would rather be given an official warning. Karma is pretty much respect. Use it or abuse it, but it still is precious stuff.

still i think it would be better than getting warning because 2 warnings 3rd =ban so i think it should go with karma and someone needs to start decreasing

Well, karma doesnt really affect you in anyway, it just shows how popular you are.
I would say:
Under 0 - Unpopular
0-5 -Neutral
5 - 10 -Slightly popular
10 - 20 -Popular
20 - 40 - Very popular
40 and up - Extremely popular.

But i dont think this should be a type of warning, as everyone in the forum could do so.
Sure its makes you feel bad to get a karma down, but it wont make you stop breaking the rules.

Perhaps if you get 3 warning, you lose...2 or 4 karma...then if you do it again, then it is a ban (unless the user has no karma, in which case a ban would be suitable)

1. 2 verbal warnings
2. 3 infractions
4. ban
(decreasing karma is really optional,as themanhunt1234 said,it's more respect)

yeah, its anybodys choice to decrease someones karma
