How to install wii homebrew( for wii 4.2)

Ok, this will tell you how to install the wii homebrew channel and app
the easiest way to do this is to connect your wii to the internet
please remember, i am not responsible for any damaged wiis
NOTE:THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY OF YOUR WII


WHAT YOU WILL NEED
1) a nintendo wii
2) a sd card
3)a sd card reader for you computer


STEPS FOR INSTALLING THE CHANNEL
NOTE: if you have not upgraded your wii to 4.2, do it, these instructions are for 4.2 only

step 1) go to the setting and turn off wiiconnect24

step 2) go to your computer and download this http://www.mediafire.com/?ejimdytlmzi

step 3) put your sd card in the reader and extract all files to the sd card

step 4)put the sd card in your wii

step 5) turn on the wii

step 6) at the bottom of the wii channel page you should see a button that looks like a sd card, click it

step 7) something should come up asking to load a file, click yes and follow on screen instructions
WARNING: DO NOT CLICK THE BOOTMII, THIS CAN BRICK YOUR WII

step 8 ) install the homebrew channel and dvdx and click exit, you should now be on the homebrew channel

STEPS FOR INSTALLING APPS
this is where internet comes in handy

step 1) put you sd card back in the reader and clear the channel files

step 2) make a folder on the sd card and name it apps

step 3) download this and put it in the apps folder http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Browser
NOTE: The download button is off to the right, under the HB logo. Its pretty easy to miss.

step 4) extract those files to the apps folder on the sd card
this is a app the needs internet to connect, it will allow you to download any app, if you don't have internet just follow these steps for any app

step 5) put the sd card back in the wii and go to the hombrew channel, some thing should pop up, this is your app, congrats, you are a wii hacker

yep, but thanx for the effort, wit hhombrw, i turned my wii into a dvd/mp3 player and a strobe light

ya, thw wii homebrew is awesome, i can download a bunch of games and cheat when playing online, now back on topic

Things you should add.

1. Tell them its a softmod.
2. Tell them this does NOT enable them to download and play games straight off the bat.
3. Tell them to never upgrade after this.

there is less then a 1% chance it will brick your wii, and you can get a app to remove the hacks, called anytitleremover, but i just updated it, which removed it for me
