if you want to be able to see the items and walk first when u start the game go to granpas house and "visit him"

To open a treasure chest, Choose a choose a chest and a lockpick. Then, drag the lockpick in a slow circular motion until the pick shakes. Heck, I opened a hard chest with a rusty lockpick.
