Personal knowledge, Egibby. China didn't defend North Korea in the beginning because the US military was there on UN peacekeeping terms. When the US military crossed the border and invaded North Korea, they were no longer peacekeeping, so China...

So China sent their military in to defend their left-wing (communist) allies. The US Military was pushed back to South Korea and the rest of the Korean Civil War was pretty much WWI-style trench warfare.

My point? You lost to the Chinese/North Korean military. ) Not so invincible are you, now? Britain has never lost a war! We just decided on the fourth of July that we would rather keep India lol. (joke)

What about the Korean Civil War? The United States lost that because the Chinese got involved and pushed you all the way back to Seoul.

It was a sub-conflict of the Cold War. The North was communist and the south was capitalist. Eventually, a civil war started and Korea was split in two. The US got involved to help South Korea but when the US defended South Korea and attacked North..

Korea, violating the UN contract that allowed the US military to assist the South Koreans, China sent their military in and pushed the US back to the North/South border. The rest of the war was mainly WWI style trench warfare.

We didn't lose that war. It's still going on! If it wasn't it would just be one big Korea.
