So, the solution is: Do not press and hold the gas button before the race even starts.

Actually, you could. If you hold the gas button before the race starts, it will send a message. It says: "False Start". Maybe you did that thing... So, be patient. Or maybe you also don't know what those words are (because of the weird font).
